Purchased couches1/27/2022 and when received after about a month or so the material was stretched out and there is a tear in seam. After several attempts to reach customer service they finally returned the call and sent someone out and they replaced the cushions.

However, now two years later, I decide to let them know that the material has been all stretched out for about 6 months at least again. We keep calling and either no return call or disconnect.

We took the cushions to an upholsterer who explained after examining the cushions that the manufacturer made the cushions an inch too short in length and width which if done correctly would have kept the material taut but of course they went the cheaper route and cut back on the foam. I am writing this while on hold for customer service after being disconnected on my first attempt to call today.

So far on hold for 12 minutes and i was caller number 1. I will hang up again they are hopeless.

Missing hardware

Purchased a bedroom set in September, 2023. First delivery one nightstand was damaged and no hardware for mirror to attach to dresser. Second delivery the sent driver to wrong address. Third deliver, nightstand has gouge in it, no hardware for mirror. Many phone calls later, told furniture is discontinued and i won't be getting hardware. Many messages left with Service Manage Lisa Barkalow remain unanswered. I would advise anyone looking to purchase from Huffman Koos to avoid completely.

Nobody has bothered calling me back yet. I made about 2 dozen calls this past Thursday and not once did anyone answer. I was on hold for literally every call. My family has been a client of Huffmann Koos for decades and this is the last thing I expected Extremely dissatisfied and dissatisfied. Im hoping someone reaches out to me at 646352****. Damaged couch by delivery service. Broken frame. Reported to them the date of deliver which was August, 2022. The delivery people took pics. 2 months later someone came out said I would hear from someone in 30 days. It is 5 months and no resolution. Keep speaking to Herma. She says she will call back. Never received any calls back. Last spoke to her Jan 12, 2023.

When they delivered to my house on March 23rd, the bed lost a pin and couldn't be installed. I was keeping calling your customer service everyday day, nobody answered or they didn't give me any positive answers. My husband and me still sleep on the floor and the frame still in my room like garbage. Please give me a reply.

No one answers phones

Huffman Koos - No one answers phones
I bought a table n chairs. I also ordered 4 more chairs. I received 2. I was told the others would be in about February. I have been trying to reach them since August to cancel the 2 additional chairs. I get transferred and it rings busy or told a manager will call me. Over 15 times!!! I want a refund for the 2 chairs. This has been going on for months. I spent so much time on this. I am beyond frustrated

Missing part of order

I placed my order on 7/17/2022 at the Fairfield store. Received two deliveries. Second delivery was for a power recliner. I paid for but did not receive the battery back up for the recliner. Item no KO73 Raffel Pack $150.00. I contacted the store on the day of delivery of the chair -11/2 plus 8 more times by text and phone to Mia -973-807-****. Her continual responses range from Ill get back to you to waiting for update to no response. Please provide an immediate response with an update. My next move will be to contact BBB/dept of consumer affairs and the attorney general. This is maddening.

$500 Deposit

Can't believe that Huffman Koos in Watching, NJ will not give me my $500 deposit back.

Whatever you do, don't buy furniture here. They will never deliver it and when they don't will not give you your $500 deposit.

They say because furniture wasn't in stock it was considered a special order. Definitely don't go to the store on Route 22 in Watchung, NJ. Stay away from all their salespeople!

I will be posting this and telling everyone I know about this treatment.

Wonderful experience at Raymour & Flanigan on route 22 in Watchung right across the street.

Ordered furniture and was here in 3 days. I was told by Huffman Koos that my furniture would be here by Thanksgiving still wasn't there by Christmas and we ordered it Labor Day!

Would be sad to even lose 1 sale over $500 since as far as I can tell you guys aren't that busy.

My complaint is receiving my refund that is due to me. The sales person was let go the day after I canceled my order. I did receive a call from someone else however it is unsettling that you cant leave a message due to there voicemail is not set up. Never again!!!!

Not a good experience

Chose a couch, brought with me measurements of couch I was replacing. Salesman measured, assured me that I would have no problem.

Told me legs are off for easier delivery. Deliverer was rude and nasty, refused to take couch off truck said he knew it would not fit. When I told him we measured in the store and he but called me a liar. Called customer service they said legs Don't come off that particular couch.

Pick something else or do break down for $150.

Called store and I was told the same thing again. Spoke to Scott, he too pushed for the break down, but he said the cost is $250. Although I was misquoted twice the fee would not be adjusted. After weeks of back and forth stressful conversations with customer service, manager and Scott, I finally agreed.

I understood that Nato the person who does the break down was supposed to come to my home at approximate time of delivery. When delivery came for the second time, they carried the couch in with no problem with out the legs on the couch and put them on once inside.

Never heard from the store or this Nato.When I asked the delivery guys about Nato, the break down and the issue with the couch legs they knew nothing about it. I feel I deserve an apology for all the stress and wasted time.

Poor Service

On June 6th I ordered two Barcaloungers from Hoffman Koos in Freehold N.J. (732-343-****).

My order stated that the couches would be in in three months or I could cancel with a full refund. Three months came and went. In the fourth month I got a call from the shipping department setting up a delivery date (I paid in full). When the delivery came only one couch was delivered.

The delivery people said it was probably at the warehouse and would be delivered in a couple of days. After trying to call,e-mail and correspond through the web site with no response I returned to the store. I spoke to the manager (Carole McAreavey, cmcareavey@***.com)She said the orders were put on two separate P.O.s and would be delivered by the end of October. She was going to double check with shipping and get back to me by the next business day.

That never happened. I got a call from shipping two weeks later saying the date was changed to November 22nd. On November 15th I received a call saying the delivery would now be the middle of December. I explained that I needed it by Thanksgiving and that I would accept the floor model which was at the store.

I was told they would check and get back to me by the end of the day. That again never happened. The delivery date was changed to the middle of December,then the end of December,then the middle or end of January. It was finally delivered in February.

I discovered that the second couch was not on a separate P.O. but was ordered after I pointed out the mistake as an add on. If there were two P.O.s the two deliveries would not be so far apart? A mistake is one thing,lying about it is quite another.

At this point some type of compensation is in order.

Awaiting delivery

I ordered chairs 8/30/2021 that were delivered in Dec 2021 and were defective. I have been waiting for a replacement since then. I keep getting extended delivery dates. First April then July now Sept. this is ridiculous. If this is how you treat customers, I wonder how you are still in business. Unacceptable. I would like this matter addressed as soon as possible. Very frustrating!!!

Terrible experience

While shopping for a couch in Huffman Koos in Fairfield, I saw a couch I wanted, but I was concerned about the size. I had the measurements of the couch I was replacing, and the salesman Rod measured the couch and assured me there would be no problem with the couch fitting through the doorway, he also said all couches are delivered without the legs on to make for easier delivery.

Delivery day came and the deliveryman was so rude and nasty. He refused to take the couch off the truck saying the couch will not fit through the doorway and when I told him we measured in the store, he called me a liar. I called customer service, I was told the legs on this particular couch DO NOT come off. Customer Service also said to either come back to the store and pick out something else or do what they call a break-down for $150.00.

I called the store and the manger also suggested this break-down process for a fee of $150.00. After weeks of back and forth stressful conversations with customer service, the store manager and Scott (I don't recall his position). They all felt this break-down process was the best way to go for a fee of what I was told twice $150, assuring me the structure to the couch would not be compromised in fact Scott said the couch would be stronger than when it left the manufacturer. After I finally agreed I was told I was misquoted, it will cost $250.00.

They refused to adjust the fee, even though two people quoted me the wrong price. Scott said Nato who does the breakdown will meet the delivery guys at my home. When they came to deliver the couch the second time, the new delivery guys brought the couch in with no problem. Can you believe it!

They were in and out in fifteen minutes. When I asked them If they were supposed to meet someone for this breakdown process, they said they knew nothing about it.

Oh, and the legs on the couch they were off, and the delivery guys put them on once the couch was in side. So if you want to experience OUT RIGHT RUDENESS, LIES AND STRESS, Huffman Koos is the place for you.

Money in advance

We bought a diner set and a buffet furniture from this company back in April 2021. the buffet was not arriving until 9/21, we followed up with store, they kept pushing for 11/21, then 12/21, 01/22.

I wanted to get a refund because they billed us for a product we did not have yet. We tried to reach out to the store several times, drove to the store because we could not get anyone on the phone. Someone guy, helped us there pretended to be sending an email too calm, said he emailed corporate with our concerned; without any responses. My liked the buffet served very much and decided to take to upgrade, they charged us for the for the difference and delivered the piece mid January 2022.

The pieces has a damaged it looks like the driver or not sure, dropped it down and there is damaged on it. We tried to call the store again and still waiting for someone to handle this problem.

I will not recommended anyone to buy from this Huffman Koos bad experience and unprofessional customer service and not resolution at all. We're waiting on a resolution but can't get anyone on the phone.

User's recommendation: Have better customer service, more staffs in the store and there is not need to charge the customer in advanced knowing to will not get their product 5mos to 1 year later. One more thing, tried to work with your customers find a better solution when you can not commit.

Huffman Koos seems to have non customer service. I am having the same problem with the Rip off, defective , non refunding for merchandise not delivered and apart of the bedroom suite not delivered.

Order was places in September 2021, now February 2022, no mirror, no refund for an item fully paid for but not delivered, and need price adjustment for defective product. no answer. I want to start a class action law suit against HK.

I PURCHASED IN WATCHUNG NJ, but the regional office is in Fairfield NJ. Fairfield is located in Essex county, and Watchung is in Somerset County, and I live in Union County
